Here is a summary of our attendance at the INTA 2023 Annual Meeting Live+ in Singapore.

The 2023 INTA Annual Meeting Live+ gathered the world's most influential intellectual property (IP) and business professionals. The International Trademark Association is a global association of brand owners and professionals devoted to supporting trademarks and complementary intellectual property (IP) to foster consumer trust, economic development, and innovation, and committed to improving society through brands.

The first day's schedule was jam-packed with conferences and events, and our business development manager "Stifan Hiwale" was thrilled to participate in engaging discussions about trademark law, practise design, and the best practices for In-Game trademark licencing.

During the event, we had the chance to network and learn more about the new intellectual property and ChatGPT AI landscape, including its benefits and challenges.

The primary problem with AI-generated content is the absence of human creativity. While the output may resemble a protected work, it was not created by a human, and therefore cannot be protected under copyright law under the current system.

Regarding ccTLD, the top three topics discussed at INTA 2023 conferences were:

  1. How ccTLD is superior to gTLD and ngTLD in terms of value
  2. Problems a law firm faces when registering ccTLDs
  3. How a ccTLD identifies a country's mindset.

Following the 2nd and 3rd day of the event, there will be engaging lectures on cybersecurity, country-specific legislation and regulation, trademark IP issues, innovation, and more.

Overall, the five days at INTA were extremely positive and productive, and we will meet again at the next INTA Annual Meeting Live+.
