*   What is the registration terms allowed? (ie. 1 – 2 years)                           

 .at Domains renew automatically every year until we receive a written cancellation from the holder or a delete command from the registrar. There are no terms and no expiry date. 

*   How long does registration typically take? 

If the registration command is correct, the domain is registered as soon as we receive the command (Real Time Registration).

*   Can registrants be both individuals and legal entities? 

Domain holders can either be a private person or a legal entity. It is not possible that a domain holder is both. If  „Example AG“ and „John Doe“ are mentioned in the same holder data, the „Example AG“ is the holder and „John Doe“ is only the contact person.

*   Admin contact has to be an individual?   

There is no Admin-C since the GDPR.

*   Requirements : 

 No requirement. 

*   Admin contact ID number?                                                                                   

There is no Amdin-C since the GDPR.

 *   Application form to be signed by the admin contact?                                

None 

*   Company registration number and VAT number?                                        

  No

*   Subdomains ?                                                                                                              

co.at 

*   Zonecheck ?                                                                                                                

A Zonecheck is done when the domain gets registerred. If the nameservers aren’t configurated correctly at the registration, the registration doesn’t work.

After that there are no periodical Zonechecks. Only if the isp gives the domain back to nic.at via billwithdraw there is another Zonecheck.

 [Renewal]

-    Late renewal possible? Until when?                                                                    

There is no manually renewal at nic.at.

     -    Restoration possible?                                                                                               

 If there is a cancellation on the domain the holder or the isp can withdraw the cancellation.

*   Early Deletion possible?                                                                                         

 If we receive a cancellation „with immediate effect“ from the holder or from the isp, there is a locking period of about 8 weeks. There is no possibility to accelerate this.

*   Provide IDN registration?                                                                                       

 Yes, we provide IDN registration. 

[Transfer]

-    How to transfer?                                                                                                        

Transfer via Auth-Code is the common way. There are two other possibilites (Token-Code / Emergency) if the holder doesn’t receive the Auth-Code from his current isp for any reason.

 Will the expiration date reset or +1 year?                                                           

There is no expiry date for .at domains as they renew automatically every year. The key date for this auto-renew is the date of registration.

Auth code and unlock TransferProhibited?                                                        

The auth-code changes after every transfer / billwithdraw. There is no special transfer prohibition. If the domain is locked it can have different reasons (non-payment, Zonedelete, cancellation etc).

*   How to change the owner?                                                                                    

Please refer o the below

*   document required?                                                                                               

A holder change at nic.at requires a signed holder change form (signed by current and new holder). This document has to be uploaded in the customer login.

 *   Registration date remains unchanged?                                                            

 Yes, the registration date (keydate for auto-renew) remains the same.
