AZ rules:
1) What is the registration terms allowed? (ie. 1 – 2 years)

2) How long does registration typically take?
1-2 weeks maximum.
3) Are there any requirements to register a domain?
All contacts have to provide an ID or passport numbers. No other requirements.
4) Is there any documents or information required from the registrant?
In case of domain name ownership transfer or admin-c modification, a signed authorization letter will be required. The letter must contain the current owner letterhead, indicate the wish to change the owner from X to Y and be signed by the current owner or the current admin-c.
5) Can registrants be both individuals and legal entities?

6) Are there any fees for DNS updates, ownership updates, etc?
Ownership transfer and admin-c modifications are treated like new registrations and hence have the usual new registration fee.
7) Do domains automatically renew upon expiration? If so, can we turn this off?
The domains in our management will be automatically renewed by us. If you do not wish to renew please inform us 6 weeks prior to domain's expiry date that you wish to cancel the domain.
8) Do you require us to notify you ahead of time if we do or do not want to renew a domain? If so, how much in advance?
If you want to keep your domain registered you do not have to notify us as this will be done automatically, unless you inform us 6 weeks prior to domain's expiry date that you wish to cancel the domain.
9) If a domain does expire, can it be restored? Is there a redemption period? Fees?
No redemption period. If a domain expires, it has to be registered again, given it is available for registration.
10) What are second levels available?
.az, .com.az, .biz.az, .edu.az, .gov.az, .info.az, .int.az, .mil.az, .name.az, .org.az, .pp.az, .pro.az
11) What is the allowed character length? (ie 1-63 characters)
3 characters minimum - No max.
12) Does transfer add one year ?
No, transfer does not add 1 year and is free.
However, if there are any owner or admin contact modifications, it will be considered as a new registration, which means one extra year and the corresponding fees.
