Croatia is located in Central and Southeast Europe, bordering Hungary to the northeast, Serbia to the east, Bosnia and Herzegovina to the southeast, Montenegro to the southeast, the Adriatic Sea to the southwest and Slovenia to the northwest. It lies mostly between latitudes 42° and 47° N and longitudes 13° and 20° E. Part of the territory in the extreme south surrounding Dubrovnik is a practical exclave connected to the rest of the mainland by territorial waters, but separated on land by a short coastline strip belonging to Bosnia and Herzegovina around Neum.

- Local presence required ? No.

[Registration]

- What is the registration terms allowed? From 1 to 5 years. 

- How long does registration typically take? Few minutes. Companies must be based in Europe and provide their VAT number.

- Can registrants be both individuals and legal entities? Yes.

[Renewal]

- Renewal automatic ? You need to send us instructions to renew it before the expiration date.

- Late renewal possible?  Until when? Yes, 30 days.

- Restoration possible? After expiry the domain will still be active for 2 weeks, inactive for another 2 weeks, and finally deleted after 30 days.

- Early deletion possible? Yes, at any time. It's required to send a request for deletion on a company memo, signed and sealed by an authorised signatory. In the case of a natural person, the request must contain copy of their ID card, both sides, and their signature. These requests can be sent by email.

[Other rules]

- Provide IDN registration? No.

 [Transfer]

- Transfer lock available ? Yes.

- How to transfer? Send your request by email. The domains must be in unlocked status. After initiating the transfer, the central registrar CARNet sends a confirmation email to the
domain owner. The link will be active for 5 days. Upon successful confirmation the domain is automatically transferred. 

- Transfer add 1 year ? Yes.

[Owner Change]

- How to change the owner? We only require information for the new owner and the process will be started. The central registrar CARNet will send a confirmation email to both current domain owner's email and the new owner's email address. After both sides have successfully confirmed, the process is complete and the owner changed automatically.

It's important to note that if the current and the new owner both use the same email address, 2 separate emails will be received, and each needs to be opened in a separate browser and both confirmed.
